During our recent Victory Weekend, Alfred brought two of his members namely, Chris Alcayde (on your right) and Richard Marabillo (on your left). Alfred is just one of those leaders who are so excited to bring these two men to encounter God in Victory Weekend… just like everybody else. So what makes Alfred’s discipleship group unique? After getting to know Chris and Richard during the breakfast at the Holiday Inn, I found out that these two guys were “walk-ins” during our Thursday Prayer and Worship Night. Both men are seeking for something real in their lives. On separate occasions, they were in Robinsons Galleria and for the first time they went inside Victory Center where we were having our Thursday Prayer and Worship Night.

Now this is so interesting… Alfred really wanted to start his own small group. And he had it in his heart to look for a “new face” inside the church service and pray with them. So when the pastor would say to break into groups and pray for one another, Alfred made deliberate efforts to reach out, not to his friends, but to visitors. Lo and behold, he was able to pray with Richard, then few weeks after with Chris, and then with another guy, so Alfred was now ready to start his own small group with these 3 new guys he met and prayed with during Prayer and Worship Night.

Just like Alfred, if you want to start you own small group, you can also begin by looking for visitors and “walk ins” attending our church services. All you have to do is have the compassion and be willing to meet new people. Who knows God may lead you to people, like Richard and Chris. The person you may be seated with this weekend service might very well be a “Divine appointment”…

Hi there, I’ve always been looking for something and that something would always lead me to victory at galleria but in so many times I always end up late or too timid to go inside for fear of the unknown… So I would end up looking for books at the corner bookstore… I am praying hard for me to have the courage to go and listen to HIM… Maybe this is the sign for me to start… Thanks and to God be the glory.
