Dr. Jojo Rivera is a medical doctor (a dermatologist…) by profession who is also one of our most fruitful small group leaders in Victory Ortigas. As a doctor, he wanted to establish medical missions that would cater to the under-privileged people of our nation. As an innovator, he didn’t just want to limit this missions outreach to those in the medical and health care professions. He wanted to make everyone participate in accordance with the gifts that God has entrusted to them. Thus, he thought of THE VICTORY CARAVAN…

What is Victory Caravan?

The concept is, just like a caravan, which is used to load lots of stuff for trading, supply or delivery. Victory Caravan, is loaded with people who are willing to use their talents to bless other people in the mission field. It includes medical missions, feeding program, worship training, sports clinic, dance workshop, campus outreaches, kids ministry training etc.

Last August 27 to 29, after months of preparation, Victory Caravan had its initial stop at our Victory Cabanatuan. In celebration of the church anniversary, 55 volunteers from Victory Ortigas partnered with 150 volunteers of Victory Cabanatuan. In those 3 days, according to Dr. Jojo Rivera, they were able to serve 500 people with their medical needs, 200 people were given dental needs, 300 people were given reading glasses, 1300 kids were served during the feeding program, 50 basketball enthusiasts were trained in the sports clinic, 90 students joined the dance workshop and at night, our worship leaders trained and gave them an opportunity to glorify God during the night of Praise and Worship, where people had a chance to hear the gospel and respond.

Talents were used, salvation testimonies were shared, the gospel was preached and hundreds of people gave their lives to the Lord, whether in large gatherings or in smaller groups. They were also blessed with the preaching of our Senior Pastor Ferdie Cabiling with a powerful message during their church services. Finally their culminating event was a gathering of the campus youth in Cabanatuan City, they called “Youth Got The Power” Acel Van Ommen and Alvin Aragon gave their powerful salvation testimony.

Over-all it was a powerful week and the kingdom of God advanced in the lives of people (most especially to the ones who needed Him the most…) Congratulations to Victory Cabanatuan for their anniversary… More Power and Fruitfulness to everyone!!! To all the volunteers from Victory Ortigas, you’re all the best! Thank you for representing the name of our Lord in that city… To those who sponsored medicines, food, reading glasses, money and alot more, thank you very much! To Doc Jojo Rivera, you’re one of the best leaders we have in church…
Your labor in the Lord will not be in vain… Praise God!!!
