The Birth of VICTORY METRO EAST
March 11, 2009 (Viewed 1,558 times)Excitement was brewing as ministry leaders and volunteers started to pour in at Cinema 3 in Robinsons Metro East. Ushers, program coordinators, computer operators, worship team, creative team, and kids church volunteers huddled in groups. Orientations, reminders, rehearsals, and other preparations were buzzing all around. For a moment, it seemed like a big concert is about to happen. But, it was more than any other big event. It was the much-awaited first weekend worship gathering at Victory Metro East!
This recent church plant started with a vision and birthed in the hearts of people three years ago. Since then, several leaders in Victory were planning, strategizing, and praying for an office and a venue to hold the weekend gatherings. Why in Metro East? Because it encompasses and covers several major areas: Pasig, Marikina, Cainta, and Antipolo City.
During the “One Life to Live” campaign last February, more than 300 people came for the weekly seminars at HDR Building along Fernando Avenue. The Sunday late afternoon worship gatherings at Victory Ortigas are extremely full. The need to start the weekend gatherings at Metro East was imminent and unavoidable.
Last March 8, the 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM Sunday Gatherings at Victory Metro East were birthed. It was full-grown and full-blown in number. The venue was not enough to hold the people who came to worship God and listen to His word.
To provide more opportunity for members to invite friends and loved ones, Victory Metro East has added two more schedules. Starting March 22, Sunday, the schedule of worship gatherings are at: 1:00 PM, 2:30 PM, 4:00 PM, and 5:30 PM. All these will be held at Cinema 3 Level 5, Robinsons Metro East, Marcos Highway, Pasig City. Kids Ministry will be available at the foyer of Cinema 3 (for 0 to 3 years old) and at Max’s Restaurant, Level 4 Robinsons Metro East (for 4 to 12 years old).
