Pray for AUSTRIA
January 13, 2009 (Viewed 637 times)
Following is a report from Markus Marosch, the senior pastor of our church in Innsbruck, Austria:
Austria is a country in the midst of the Alps with about 8 million people. Around 70 % of them are Roman-Catholics but the majority is Catholic by tradition and not by faith. There is less than 1% spirit-filled, born-again Christians in small churches with 30 to 50 members.
Islam is the second biggest religion in Austria and just because of the growing birthrate of Muslims, the statistics say that in about 30 to 40 years, most of the countries in Europe will be mainly Muslim – this is one of the biggest challenges that Austria is facing today.
Aside from Innsbruck, Every Nation has a church in Salzburg and Judenburg, Austria. Most of our pastors and their families juggle ministry work with their regular jobs.
Pray with us for church growth and financial favor, for the Holy Spirit to continuously encourage our leaders, for the ministry to bear fruit and for the families and marriages to be protected.
